As you begin your fast today remember we are attempting to get closer to our Father! You can endure the hunger pangs for the sake of your spiritual growth and discipline. God is going to increase our Faith as we deny the meats, sweets and treats. Lord, allow this day to build us up in faith! You are more valuable than any desire that our flesh may have and allow us to grow closer to you. You will show us the things that we need to change and reveal to us the pursuits that we need to drop. Father, we want to live in such a way that brings glory to your name!
